Marguerite shared tulip vases from her private collection in a show called Harbingers of Spring. She wrote:
The tulips were impossible to ignore...looking out my windows, the green shoots lining up through the February mud whisper spring...driving to the store, the slowly emerging green of their leaves demanded patience,,,until, in the rare glow of sunlight, a blush promised...and finally, flooded my world with color, the fields blooming around my house in a joyous fantasy landscape, that was the reality of spring. Together they are stunning, but individually they are elegant, and their graceful forms captured my heart and inspired this work.
